I nipped to Fairburn Ings this morning where a juv/1st winter Red Necked Phalarope was on the New Flashes there for its second day, always distant but good
scope views were had of this dainty little wader, across the road a Whinchat patrolled along a fenceline and a Little Owl sat on one further back plus one or two Buzzards and Red Kites flew over but the Great White Egret that was also in the area
remained out of sight.
amazing how small these birds are |
