I was out after work today and thought I'd nip to Blacktoft to check through the waders as well as half hoping the recent
Montagu's Harrier might put in an appearance, it didn’t, there was an increase
in wader numbers generally from a fortnight ago although all the Avocets have departed now, highlights
were the still present Wood Sandpiper and several Spotshanks plus now up
to 10 Little Egrets, I was hoping for Curlew Sand and/or Little Stint but they don't seem to be as regular at this site these days.
