As well as a couple of other places I decided to do Tophill Low again in the week to have another go at
photographing the supposedly posing Kingfisher at North Marsh but again it was a no show, a Tawny Owl disturbed
from its roost flying from one tree to the next was the only highlight. There is always something else which will present itself though and I did manage
to get some decent shots of Southern Hawker Dragonfly plus a Grey Partridge as I was
leaving.
Small White at Foggathorpe, no sign of Peters Turtle Doves though |
Avenue down Sands Lane, Skipwith Common |
Southern Hawker |
Ruddy Darter |
big bird over Tophill |
Giant Bellflower at Rawcliffe Ings, a remnant from the Forest of Galtres no doubt |
Purple ... |
and Yellow Loosestrife at Askham Bog |
plus Meadowsweet |
some interesting Moths in the house, this a Mottled Beauty |
and this a Marbled Beauty |
plus a Dingy Footman at Tophill |
