A twitch
up to Brotton near Saltburn with Mark and Pete Watson for mine and Marks second and Britains third Eastern Crowned Warbler that had been
found in a plantation next to Hunley Hall Golf Course yesterday, we were there early
with only having half a day but the bird was very active first thing and although
I got several views they were very brief and not really satisfactory, as for
getting a picture that seemed out of the question, Mark had got a decent view but Pete, needing it for a lifer, wanted a better look as well, then it went missing mid-morning but when it was eventually refound it seemed to have settled down a bit and everybody ended up getting really good views, especially as it sat still several times, I even managed some record
shots, another good Yorkshire tick as well.
